Does anyone hunt the Eurasian Collared Dove year round? Or just do it when you get the itch and it's not white wing season?

They get hunted during dove season for me. Too hard to tell if it's eurasian or not on a snap shot. If it winds up in my bag during season then it's a bonus bird

Just bonus birds during season. They are easily identified by size, color, and flight patterns....very different from morning dove...

Tried a few this weekend taste the same as regular dove to me.

I'll shoot them 12 months out of the year, but I don't delude myself into thinking it is a hunt, either.

I hate those things; especially when they stick their head down my chimney then make that god-awful caw that they do.

I'm hoping I shoot a banded one with the Texas Dove Hunters Association band on it.

Yeah, it’s a $25 entry fee through their website.

Agreed when close and enough time to look at them. I've shot some that would fool me and wouldn't want a potential ticket to go with it.

Grain pile with a pellet gun in the off season can be fun.

Never knew about them but now I'll be looking hard to see some.
