They work the first week, after that they kindo avoid it except for them young ones.
Dove clippers on a fence work way better, i use a dozen of them, the more the better especially for the early afternoon hunts.
White wings hate em mojos, I use em more for teal.

You would be way more success-full investigating on Aug 31st the way they fly in and leave the field and be there early the following morning claiming your spot pass shooting, and thats only with the same wind direction.

Work great and also work great for teal season. We put 2-3 in our teal spread. Sucks them right in.

On a crowded dove field I have noticed little advantage using a mojo and at times I thought it may be scaring birds. I have been on opening day dove leases where I could count well more than 10 mojo decoys flashing around the field. When it looks like this, it might be better to not use one.


But If I am on a field alone or with few other hunters around, they have worked very well for me and not just early in the season. I use one or two usually on the provided stakes. There have been times I put one mojo dove on long pole to put it at the top of a dead tree and do extremely well drawing birds from a long distance. This year I am giving the flock a flickers a try for something different. I avoided buying them in the past because of the many problems people where having with functioning for very long if at all, but the latest reviews look like Mojo has fixed the problems.

Always worked well for me...started setting them a foot off the ground in open areas or full height in tall foliage. May not work for every dove, but never fails to bring in a few local birds. When the shooting is light and your neighbor has birds coming to their Mojo, you'll wish you had one!

That is the eye level view of the hunter you posted. That would look like a bunch of birds feeding on the ground to the dove. Nice setup.

Work great on Mourning doves, not on White wings at all. Always have one with me up here in North Texas.

Early season yes, afterwards they are for teal and early duck season .

I've got 4 of them, and 12 clip ons. I usually put 2 or 3 mojos up about 8', then 1 or 2 on poles in the ground, guess that's about 2-1/2' or so. Place some clip ons on a fence line, and others on the ground to look like their feeding.
They work pretty good on the mourning dove, have had them land next to my clip ons numerous times.
As far as whitewings, I've not seen them come in on the decoys. I've seen others say they work on whitewings, but that hasn't been my experience while using them.

IMO forget decoys if hunting only whitewings.

I've only seen white wings come to a mojo once and that might have been a coincidence. Late afternoon on the edge of a small pond they were probably coming to anyway.

Work best for teal. Sometimes they sneak in and I only know they're there when I hear them plink (they're not big enough to plop) down on the water next to the dove mojo.

I use two setup perpendicular to each other when hunting mourning doves. Works great when there aren't 98 other ones in the field.

I'll start off with 2 of them, but I'll be quick to turn them off if I think they're skirting away from them.

What I don't get is the guys that are on a HOT field putting them out. I'm on a great dove lease and we have found all of sept. you just don't need them. Unless your trying to make life easier for kids or someone that does not shoot well, then we use them. Otherwise just another headache to deal with.

Dove mojos work great in the teal spread!

I love them. I attempted building one of the trees with clip on's and one or two mojos. Turned out to be more of a hassle than anything with little advantage. But, one or two mojos and some clip on's is the way to go for sure.

I didn't buy a new mojo this year because I have more than I need. Hope I didn't jinx myself.

When I first saw the Mojo Dove I thought it was just another gimmick. Wrong, after watching them in action, I think it impressive to see dove flare straight into the Mojos. I use several with a number of clip ons as well.

That is how I felt the first time I saw the mojo duck being used...by someone else

Don't put that on me. I will have to buy another mojo now.

We already, even got my bwt mojo ready. These mojos 8 and 9 years old.
