Anybody know of a leather one. All I see is paracord, and that's stuff is too rigid for my taste.

I use a banded brand one. It's not paracord goes around your neck comfortably
My wife got me one from Otis Leather Company and its really nice. Not sure on pricing. Local TX company, too.

Neoprene is the way to go. I've had a neoprene "Heavy Hauler" for years and love it.
