Ray Bob, yes I said it!

So yesterday I parked and took the long walk down the stairs to the boat ramp.
I've made this walk many times over the years.

Halfway down I run into a 3 foot Copperhead going up!
Needless to say, I was startled and glad I didn't have my dog with me.
I took a picture but it didn't take well.

I went to pick up my gear and the snake moved into the shadows, you could barely see it.

Please take note in the dark.

Any ducks?

I have a solid spot when its windy. However, with yesterday's temp, no way I was walking to that spot.

To many rattlebugs between where I park and where I'd have to go to get to the water. And way to far to paddle in a yak to. Really need to get a duckboat and motor.

Yeah. Eff snakes. I killed this one Saturday scouting. That's why I don't take my dog unless it's low 40s or colder
