What do y’all use?
No wind today, sucs worked great.

90% of the time a combination of Avian X and GHG.

Then if we want a big spread we dip into the reserves which are a combination of about 3-4 other brands. Mostly game winner I believe.

What brand of sucs do you use?

They’re herters but I wouldn’t care what kind they were as long as they held up. Best walk-in decoy imo.

I haven't been able to find any of them for sale. Did you buy them recently?

My favorite as well! Unfortunately, they quit selling them a couple of years ago. Everybody I know who has used them loves them, so hopefully they will come to their senses and start producing them again. But it's doubtful since Cabela's took over Herter's. The closest thing I've found to then is made by Drake, but they seem like a distant second....

I have a dozen Cherokee inflatables that I use on kayak or zero wind days. No keel on them and slightest breeze moves them all over the place

I think ducks are given too much credit for being intelligent, we are talking about migratory birds that can't tell ice from water, they will fly in , cup their wings and slide across the pond.
I doubt the best most realistic decoys bring them in any better than a cheap folding outline one.
I do like a few mojo' flapping type. and the diver look cool.

I've got a few of the Drake decoys and like them, but Drake discontinued them.

We used to use the drake dekes with the removable keels and they worked great with little to no wind or in the field, but like you said, they have been discontinued. GHG pro-grades are my go to.

Although, we usually only throw out a dozen or less, depending on wind. Ive got my go to dozen dekes in the back of the truck all season. At the beginning of the season its mostly grey ducks with a couple widgeon and mallard mixed in. As the season progresses, I will start to swap out for more mallards and widgeon. If I am hunting big water with good wind and later in the season I will pull down the few dozen and throw them in the bag in the truck. Ive held on to all my game winners for back up.

Ditto. Trash dekes at best. I got 2 dozen last year and half are trash now. They do move with no wind but the quality kills the deal.

Has anyone tried the new Dakota decoys with the flush keels? They look good for windless days or real shallow water.

I've seem them and plan on giving them a try this season but haven't so far.
