Opening Day Teal!

Not great but not bad. Had a fun time and we got into a few. 12 with 5 GWT.

If that isn't great then I want to see what great is. Good job!

We saw nothing moving today. Nice lineup.

Kimber is out of commission for a couple more days due to a pretty good gash she got from a barbed wire fence opening day of dove season. She would be fine and I was planning to take her but I can't keep her from trying to chew her staples out. She'll be back in full swing next Saturday. Plenty of pictures to come!!

I didn't see any teal. Of course I hunt public land and had some dove hunters set up behind me.

This is from a friend down my way. There were five shooters and all limited.

- North Tx a bust for teal- lots of geese in area-shaw several big groups of migrators Friday evening they didn't visit us.

I'm glad that you did well.

I wish I could say the same for myself - I hunted Granger Lake on opening morning and only had a single small flock come by the entire morning. I was wondering whether the teal were early or late this year, or if they just bypassed this (often lackluster) location.
