Zeus wasn't intended to be a duck dog, but we took him along a couple of years ago, and he was on his way before the birds hit the water. Smart SOB, matters not if it's duck, woodcock, squirrels, quail, or doves, he brings them back.

Shes only 11 months int the picture. Thus she hasnt been on her first duck hunt yet.

Scout with some woodies and teal last weekend. He doesn't do too bad for a spoiled house dog with an amateur trainer.

I have three labs. My first two Chip and Maggie were pets before I got into duck hunting. I semi trained their pup Gordo. He is my primary hunting dog but I take Maggie or Chip on occasion. Here is Chip with his only hunting retrieves and Gordo with my lucky shot (triple on teal from this season).
