Ducks everywhere - 11/13/16 12:08 PM

But here.
No time for a long story. Ducktoon took 4 people out for the night and morning. Made it back. Performed quite well. Needs slight fuel adjustment. Here's pics I gotta go to Freer to dig for arrowheads.

You don't have any trouble with birds seeing yall? It would look sick with a cane and cedar.

In Kansas last last two days I haven't seen many birds on the farm ponds or the rivers.

We had a pontoon like this , would buy a roll of hay, roll it out and put behind the wire and use a coat hanger to pull it thru the wire. Then hit spots with camo spray paint to change it up. Worked prety good for us.

I need to add material. That stuff is a year old. I like cane behind the wire. It is super light when it dries.

This has been a whirlwind of a weekend. We got up real early and drove to freer for a arrowhead hunt. We are driving back now. My brain is busted!

That guy in the top picture looks more like a deer hunter.

We put a lot of corn out but no deer showed up.

Re: Ducks everywhere - 11/15/16 02:42 PM

My bride really enjoyed the trip. So much so she demanded we put more blind material on the blind. So we took the Ranger to the river bottom and started cutting palms. We will have it done in a day or two. They really add a better sense of realism by leaving half the palms outside the retention wire.

I think we will leave palms in the blind and stand them up to cover that massive shooting hole that faces the decoys.
