Pontoon boat duck blind

Pontoon boat duck blind - 09/23/15 01:10 PM

The add says $1500, I bet $900 would take it. It would be a great start to a duck blind if the motor and controls are good to go.

Hell no, we're letting you blaze that trail. We'll all wait a season to see how it works out laugh

Thanks for the compliments, just wanted to bust Guy's butt a bit!
Rick, dang I love that rig! Handles big, rough water in the dark like a dream.
I'm getting the jack plate/motor trim figured out and can putt through a foot or
less of water.
Oh, and Jack can get a better launch off this boat than my last one.

Re: Pontoon boat duck blind - 09/25/15 05:26 PM

That as good of an all around rig as you can buy.

How many stumps you hit? I hit many every outing, many times full throttle. Your rig would not work for me, I need something indestructible. As my Dad used to tell me, "Son you could f-up a chit sandwich".

You are supposed to dodge the stumps.

I subscribe to Fooshman's way of thinking

Re: Pontoon boat duck blind - 09/29/15 02:59 PM

I agree. Slow down and kick the motor up. When you drive along you can pick a way through the stumps with a 2 stroke or 4 stroke motor. Just because one has a mud motor doesn't mean stumps wont hurt it. Hitting stumps with a mud motor is really hard on the belts or gears depending on what you have. If you don't stay on top of belt adjustments and you hit a stump, you can burn that belt right up.
