Daffy Duck Hunters
An Upshur County game warden and a Wood County game warden investigated an anonymous tip about two duck hunters shooting a 10-man limit of ducks at an unknown location one morning. The only evidence the tip offered were a possible last name and a photograph of one individual posing with 60 ducks. Later that evening, the wardens identified, located and interviewed the two individuals involved, who both admitted to shooting 60 ducks over a baited pond as well as dumping 55 ring-necked ducks in the woods to waste. The ducks and bait were located and collected for evidence. Multiple cases and restitution are pending.

That was dumb to send pictures out....rookie mistake

just ringers guys.....best part is I work with the guy....he's a character to say the least really good guy that made a poor decision

I don't have a problem shooting a 10 man limit or dumping the nasty jacks out into the woods. I mean who wants to clean 60 jacks. It is the showing the law dogs where they dumped the birds. Anybody that dumb deserves to get busted.

that's his story....he wasn't sending out pictures...the guy he took was the one sending it out.....I couldn't believe they didn't take his license....he was duck hunting 3-4 weeks after the incident.

All you gotta do is tell one person and it is no longer a secret.

That was probably a really fun hunt.

Wardens taking license away is kind of funny. I know a guy (not a friend) that got busted for shooting a sixth deer using someone else's tag, the warden took his license and cited him for the offense.
He went to WalMart and paid for a reprint of his license. He got 5 more tags and went back to hunting. He complained that he should have done that the first time.
There have been theads here where the poachers were busted because they posted their trophies on Facebook.

Now come on G, I can remember a triple jack attack last season.

Is it legal for a game warden to "Take your license" or does a court have to take it? I mean even on a DWI investigation, the officer does not suspend the driver's license, the courts do. It has been years since I filed one and the paperwork is probably different, but we issued them a temporary paper that acted as their license until the court sorted things out. I can't timagine a game warden having the power to just suspend your license without the courts providing a hearing to the defendant.

Jacks are magnetized. If you shoot in the general area at least one falls.

85 pics for 60 ducks? That's 1.4 pics per duck, his pic-to-duck ratio is much higher than that.
