Any on the wall yet?

Picked up my mallard last night. Came out great. A buddy of mine's little brother goes to A&M and does mounts on winter and summer breaks. He does a pretty good job I think! He did my merganser and Wigeon last year.

Bufflehead and wigeon in the freezer are next.

He is a year out though. This time next year maybe I'll be able to post some pics.

Nice! only got one redhead this year.. he was young. and must have been lost. First one we've seen where I hunt.

Garrett and Hayraker.. I'm a teacher. Can't be spending $300+ for top of the line. A friend of mine does a pretty good job for a good price so I'm gonna go that route! He's self-taught and learning, but he does a pretty good job I think!

Trozacky those are beautiful! Harlis are probably my favorite bird, but I doubt I'll ever get the chance to go after them!

DuckCoach1985 They guide we used last year is in Seldovia, AK. The trip was much more affordable ( especially if you airline miles) than I ever thought. I spent twice as much on taxidermy as I did on the hunt. If you ever want the info just shot me a PM.

A Harlie hunt is my dream for sure... one of these days...

DuckCoach, I like that mount! Really feel he captured the "backpedaling" look with the wings and landing gear. Then again, y'all can probably tell by my username that I'm a sucker for such things Cool hobby for a college student!

Just my 3rd season Waterfowling. I really dig it. This was my first Pintail Drake I shot last Jan.

My bro shot this really nice double banded (Reward Band)Mottled Duck last season and just now got it back from the taxi(Overalls Taxidermy in New Caney). I haven't shot any mount birds in several seasons.

Those are nice! Like the pintail poses! got 2 GWT last sunday to close the season, they're in the freezer about to head to the Taxi. Thatll be 3 on the wall for me this year.

My first and only mount so far. A friend mounted him for me last year. Considering he didn't have much experience mounting waterfowl I think it came out pretty good.

I've got a storm wigeon with NTX Waterfowl right now. Can't wait to see the finished product.
