Makes pickin shots easy. 6/6 with the noisy cricket this am. Cut the mallard drakes outta pairs and shot a triple on the woody drakes out of 5 that came in. Good thing, didn't see another bird.

Are you shooting non toxic out of that .410? I have an old Remington pump .410 that my Grandad used for quail. It has a full choke barrel no tubes

Nice strap of birds.

Is that a recoil pad on a .410? Kinda ironic. wink

No, I shoot lead....

I shoot Winchester steel 6s. Hevishot makes a classic double for older guns.

Nice hunt! I am really getting the hankering to get back into waterfowl hunting, and this isn't helping me at all.....

That sir is a beautiful limit. And with the .410 to boot!! I hunted solo last week for the first time in a while & it was great. I'm usually the "guide" & am always stressing out cuz I wanna put my buds on birds, on the call, rearranging the spread etc etc. It was great to just sit back & enjoy the day with 0 stress

Your dead birds are prettier than mine, you must carry a towel and a blow dryer in your blind bag.

That's not the first time I've been told that. Here's your tip of the day for prettier birds for good pictures. Soon as you get the bird from the dog or pick it up take it by both feet in one hand and shake the [censored] out of it. Then grab the bill with one hand and shake the head back-and-forth. This gets all the excess water off and realigns the feathers.

I have been hunting solo too much. No one to hunt with. If you Hunt or Fannin county hunters want a buddy for a day, holler at me.

Fantastic job again sir. I'm curious, what's the farthest you're comfortable taking birds with the .410?

He aint gotta worry about the .410 messing up the birds too bad that's for sure!

Inside 40 yards doesn't stand a chance. I'm really enjoying the lack of recoil. Going after cranes next week
And then Heading sea ducking in a couple weeks.

Buddy and I are both shooting em.

Pulled a triple on spoonies the other day but it just doesn't have the same effect.
