I drive right by there on the way to my lease.

4 ducks on the whole place and 3 died. I think I head maybe 9 shots all morning.

We need some winter.

Haha... Bardwell is a well known lake and I doubt any extra pressupressure will come from it... now I don't mention smaller areas names or honey holes so.to.speak...

I did end up with 1.. was flying solo and was able to call it in and decoy it... this is my first year hunting ducks and my first called in duck.. was an awesome felling!!

Too bad there was no more flying around...

Yeah... it was low light and hard to tell at the time what I shot. But what can I do? Its so hard to tell what's what at thise time, but when you have nothing, and know it's a legal bird and can't tell what it is.. wouldn't you shoot too? Or am I just an [censored] for saying

That's crazy there weren't more birds we hammered em right down the road from you at Lake Waxahachie. Bird numbers were great and low pressure. Gadwall weidgon pins redheads and cans

Re: duck report from Lake bardwell - 11/02/14 04:58 PM

That's a grey winged extrapala duck. You are not suppose to shoot those ducks, and they are not in waterfowl ID books. I might be misspelling it, I'm terrible speller.

Re: duck report from Lake bardwell - 11/03/14 01:51 AM

Yes. I ran up there in my new mud rig today and shot 5 dumpster mallards and a gray duck kicker

We always shot the green up there, doesn't surprise me

Those resident mallards are easy pickings in the morning but they disappeared in the afternoon
