I got lucky this weekend, but it helps when only 7 guys show up. Every year I look forward to meeting up with all callers and catching with everyone but there was only one guy I knew there. Btw, I'm the big, tall and goofy looking guy in the middle.

Hey Kelly, Was nice meeting you in Katy!
If you ever get a day off, maybe we could get together for a morning shoot.
I took your way home and it seemed a lot longer on those back roads.
I missed the turn off onto Rt6 and went 20 min out of my way.
I was speeding trying to make up some time and was pulled over by a trooper.
I told the officer I was just excited after being at the contest and was in a hurry to get home.
He told me he had seen duck calling on TV and I had to blow my whole routine for him on the side of the road.
It was worth it, he gave me warning ticket, that and being respectful and asking permission to do thing, like get out your Lic or opening your glove compartment. Actually being nice can pay off, unlike the idiots on TV that get shot or taserd.

Thanks guys!
fowl language it was nice to you, I went the same way home I told but I wasn't in any hurry to get home. I bet that was weird blowing your call on the side of the road, my wife just whips up some tears and gets her off everytime. I stopped for steak dinner in madisonville and got home by 9. Just so everyone knows, I found out at the contest both fowl language and I live in Mckinney. We should of just carpooled down there! Oh well

Congratulations Kelly ! I am somewhat chagrined that you didn't use your Lares call.

Chagrined? That's a little bigger word than my vocabulary! Lol. But ya, I love my lares t-1. It doesn't stick at all, but my lares is for hunting or for the meat calling contests.
