Taking my wife dove hunting - 09/06/14 09:27 PM

First time she's ever been. Got her a supermcombo an her hunter safety deferment so she's good to go. I almost bought her a 20ga the other night that for her really well. But I figured she could shoot my 12ga Monday and are if she likes bird hunting. I'm pretty excited. I just hope she can hit a couple birds. We don't have time to go shoot clays or anything and she hasn't shot a shotgun in a few years.

Am I the only one who doesn't want to invite my wife hunting, not like her yuppy butt would go anyways. But that's like my meditation, go away and recharge time. I don't want her there.
I take my son with me a lot but there are times when he can't come too.
Am I the only one?

Opening day of anything is off limits in my household! But doves is kinda a family tradition, I mean sittin around drinking cold ones! I've gotten her in a deer blind and duck blind that pretty much sells itself especially when it's cold as HELL! She's knows there's to much work involved to get her out there and her get cold !!!! But if it's the deer lease and just the boys , it is what it is !!! Just the boys!!

I go a lot by myself. But me and my wife are best friends. I really don't need a break from her. Been married 5 years (I know that isn't THAT long) but I havnt grown tired of her yet. Plus, once you sees why you love your hobbies, it's a lot easier to go more often without hearing about it. (But she never does that anyways)

My wife can't be still and quiet so she don't like deer huntin much, But duck is a different story so I do a couple guided hunt's every year so she can go in comfort. I can waller in the mud with my buddy's when she stay's home.

If it's the weekend she's hunting with me. If it's the weekday then she's only hunting with me if we have greenheads. Snob.

Mine isn't sure she could kill something. Need to get her out there and make her do it and see what happens I suppose.

I'm so busy all the time, that if I go by myself and it is a crummy hunt, it is real easy to pack it in early instead of sticking with it. When someone else is out there with me, it makes it a lot easier to persuade myself to stay longer.

I like it when mine comes. She can drive home after I've had a few.
