Millet and moist soil plants- update - 08/24/14 05:41 PM

Irrigated this weekend. Sprayed darn primrose as lake draws down. Millet doing great all around lake. Moist soil plants also coming up w late season drawdown and moisture. Used honda MX10 1" pump w 100 foot garden hose and 2 orbit wobblers to water.

Browntop and japanese mix

Looks great. You got the Browntop in the back where it is more dry, and Japanese closer to the water where it is more wet? I always wanted to try that combo...

Exactly what I did. Mudflats got Jap- rest browntop

That pump is awesome as well. 25 cents of gas runs 40 minutes. 37 gal minute. Did it all w groundhog max with one addition- dragged harrow w aggressive spikes facing forward- like adding 200-300lbs on back. Did some damage on dry dirt

That sounds pretty reasonable to me. It is crazy to draw down water to plant if you can't pump water back in. That's is why I do not do it any more, being able to pump water in is ideal. up
