If the rest of the robertsons dont walk out on the show and say F it! I will lose all respect for them. Thats ridiculous that a man cant simply speak his beliefs but Im forced to watch faggs on every single movie and cable television show in existence. I feel so sorry for my kids because I know its only going to get worse. I will end this post before I really lose it. I read the comments earlier today and wondered what the outcome would be and it just disgusts me!!

I wish I were a fly on the wall at that household tonight......I bet CEO Willy is pretty PO'd! I bet Phil wished he had a filter in a couple years.....I believe the "easy" money is about over.

Re: Well beaver is probably happy - 12/19/13 02:25 AM

Oh, im sure he is not even buttsore after making them comments.

Phil couldn t leave them comments for the duckblind since he was forced to go hollywood.

Its time to go back to reality and enjoy the duckblind again.

They just replaced DD with queer guy for the straight guy

Miss kay will be the last one standing cooking with paula deen...

Sad, i like phil.

Now we have to deal with more of that:

Hey, oh looooord, siiii, go back to work, yes sir yes sir, infomertials, hey, jack, wiiiilie, what are yall doin? hey, infomertial, hey, siiiii, jack, oh looord, siiiii, hey, infomertials. Yes sir, yes sir. The end

I just don't get how a man or women can do the worst crap for 40 years and then all a sudden accept Jesus Christ into their lives and they instantly become saints. Why can't we all do the same? Can't we catch JC on the back half of our lives too?

Just a rant as I am a believer from my childhood days.....

I'm hoping Willy, et al tell A&E to pound sand. Mr Phil's opinions are well known and he speaks his mind. Seems to me that he's being discriminated against for exercising his right to free speech.

Absolutely not, i can care less of what color you are, what you are doing past midnight, what you eat, where, when, and whom you sleep with, long hair, short hair, what boat you have, what car you drive, which church you go to or not.

Life is too short to worry about others.

As long as i can keep on providing food on the table and enjoy one of my 7 passions that is hunting, im fine with that.

Praise the lord!

Its part of the marketing plan, negativity sells in this country.

When you loose the edge, you do or say some shocking stuff like Miley cyrus, gaga, timberlake, bieber, madona, and thousands of others.

Few weeks later you regain popularity and then some.

I love this country

Now barbara walters talks about DD on abc with the entire cast, what a coincidence!

That's because most people know him from Duck Dynasty and not Duck Commander.

I have a sneaky suspicion that everyone else is going to show right up to work on monday and not worry about a thing. You'd have to be a damn fool to think they would leave. The majority of the people who know who Phil and everyone is on that show is because of A&E.

Then again, maybe they leave and another network picks them up. They'd probably get their arses handed to them in court if they did that though.

Paula deen and miss kay just signed a huge deal with the food network linked with 3 book releases.

Books sells in america, not shows...much longer shelflife.

Obama already has a $10 million bookdeal, but he has to wait after his term.

So did the clinton, bush, and many other presidents.

Its another watergate and jfk conspiracy!

So, it is ok for someone to do the things he admits to doing (who really knows when it ended, maybe 30, a little in his 40's, etc) and then he can say he is "born again" and be right with the Lord? If you say yes, then it is ok for someone to do these things nightly and just pray for forgiveness each night and they are ok. Or, if you believe that gays are sinners, they can just ask for forgiveness each time after the act and they are ok with the Lord. I am a Christian and I don't believe gays are going to hell for being themselves. I am not gay, but I have friends and family that are. He said what he said and he can't take it back. Many will forgive him, but the damage is done. I support his free speech and I support AE's right to fire him.

Ok, no more religious banter for me. All I tried to say is that he is the "Pot calling the kettle black", for we have all come short of the glory of the Lord and are sinners.

Look Yankee, what Phils religion says if you accept Jesus and are baptized then all your past sins are forgiven and you start a new life. Now yankee boy it doesn't mean everyday he can go sinning then say "Im born again!" No it means he has totally changed his life and sticks to that way of life 24 hours a day. Now I support your right to spew your yankee talk on this thread, I also support everyone on here that wants to bash a yankee for talking trash on Phil. Only Dutchmen get a free pass around here wink

Definitely buying some duck calls and a shirt. Hell, I might put a Duck Commander sticker on my truck.

Good for Phil for speaking his mind, I am sure he is done with the cameras following him anyway, the boys feel the same way he does but will not come out and say it publicly.
The money from A&E, at this point, is nothing compared to the free advertising they received from the show, now that they have saturated the shelves with crap at the big box stores like Walmart, Academy, Cabelas, and Basspro the A&E money seems like a drop in the bucket.

He's wanted out since they started editing out some of him saying Jesus, parts of his prayers, and edited in bleeps like they were cussing, if he ever wanted in, in the first place.

I don't see the problem. There used to be freedom of speech in this country. He didn't bash anyone, just stated his beliefs. He says something that's not PC and everyone is soooo shocked.

If you are a believer from childhood then you above everyone else should be able to rejoice in that fact. We can be murderers and merely give our lives to christ. All will be forgiven. It is the whole reason God gave his only begotten son, so you and I as sinners could be saved. I would say Phil robertson does far more good for folks in his latter years than bad in the previous. He has done well, raised a hard working, God fearing family. If that aint American, then by God you can thrash me about the barn yard.

Thank you Phil for being the person you are. Get back to producing duck hunting video and enjoy your life. No reason to get caught up in the gossip of TV. Every reality TV star is high on themselves! Way to preach what you teach.
To the person who made the comment about how can someone be a drug abuser for x amount of years and then all of a sudden walk the life of Christ. Shame on you. You probably attend Church because you are ashamed of how you act during the week.

I thought about this for awhile too. Why not just go crazy until you are 40 then repent? However, what I am finding out now is how hard leaving sin can be once you have a taste for it... Sin is like a shovel and when you use it you just dig yourself into a deeper whole.

Individuals who are saved do not have a clean slate either, but Jesus Christ has paid for their sins. They are just
"born again" in order to give their life to the Lord and ask forgiveness for all the sins committed in the past.

Thank God for Phil,we need more people like him in our world. As a believer in Christ,I nor Phil are sinless, we strive each day to be sin-less. We are to show love & kindness to the sinner, but hate the sin.... Jesus was & is the only perfect one,he loves us all, but he does hate sin....

Re: Well beaver is probably happy - 12/19/13 05:23 PM

So your upset that Phil wasn't born again as a child? From what I (A believer in Christ) have witnessed, it is much harder for an adult to come to a place of repentance than for a child.

Also, I believe and the bible teaches that Jesus(God) does hate the sin. Which is basically what Phil was saying. The gay community just blows everything out of proportion that is against their beliefs. Yet they can say anything they want too. It is sickening that we have allowed our voices as Christians to be taken from us.

We are called to share what the bible teaches and to preach Jesus Christ resurrection to the lost. I happen to assume that if you are a LGBT then more than likely, you are not living for Christ and are in fact "Lost".

And whoever made the comment that Christians got saved and have a clean slate and live like Jesus 24/7 now couldn't be further from the truth. We still sin (everyday) and we still have bad immoral thoughts. It is our belief that Jesus died for our past sins and future sins. You just need to ask him for fogiveness and accept him in your heart. And by no means is that a free pass to just sin all you want and ask for forgiveness. I have found that when you are living for Christ and are in his work, you tend to do a lot less sinning anyhow...

I try my best not to judge people but I am a sinner and that is something that I majorly struggle with. Ask my wife. Point is, we are human and humans are born sinners and die sinners, there is no prayer or religion that can keep us from sinning. God hates sin and can't look at it. That's why he sent Jesus to cover our sins so that he can accept us into his kingdom!

If you are in my area, and are looking for a church and/or are interested in learning more. You can come to my church. It is Central Baptist Church in Deer Park TX.

Still not a fan of the show. Not gonna run out and buy a Phil coffee mug, throw rug or any of the thousands of marketing schemes they have out there.

Great he's anti gay, hell pay me for an interview and I'll tell ya the same thing. Only reason his comment meant anything is because he's part of the fruit and nut Hollywood gang now. They should do the right thing and all quit the show.

Same reason why they wont leave A&E. Its advertising for all the crap they sell. No one can argue that DC didn't blow up when it went on A&E. I really doubt A%E will get rid of them and they couldn't just up and leave for a new network without some major financial issues.

I don't hang with people that read GQ and don't really think that the snots that read it could care less about hunting of any kind.

Incorrect is the answer you are looking for.

I didn't judge, I just ranted (yes, at the end I said it was a rant, go look it up) about how some people love to judge after they have done bad themselves. I never said anything about the long beard specifically.

But, it is kind of funny how he misquoted the bible, yes, he did. Then, he quoted "greed" as a sin.....want to guess how much he charges to duck hunt with him.....oh, not judging, but it sure gives the appearance that somebody just might be greedy......

Just a rant folks and that is all. I have nothing against the guy and never called him names. And, I don't believe in all his comments/views, but I stop short of calling him names and judging like he did.

We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. The family has spent much time in prayer since learning of A&E's decision. We want you to know that first and foremost we are a family rooted in our faith in God and our belief that the Bible is His word. While some of Phil’s unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible. Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Phil would never incite or encourage hate.We are disappointed that Phil has been placed on hiatus for expressing his faith, which is his constitutionally protected right. We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm. We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty. Again, thank you for your continued support of our family.

Yeah I realize BFF was in the house. I'm sure they stayed up late last night sharing the pages of GQ with each other in bed. Get a sense a humor. If you can't take a joke or understand a joke then leave it be but don't expect me to lay down while you try to insult me for making a joke.

Re: Well beaver is probably happy - 12/20/13 04:43 PM

From the "Duck Commander's GQ interview:

On Religion and the Nazis

"All you have to do is look at any society where there is no Jesus. I'll give you four: Nazis, no Jesus. Look at their record. Uh, Shintos? They started this thing in Pearl Harbor. Any Jesus among them? None. Communists? None. Islamists? Zero. That's eighty years of ideologies that have popped up where no Jesus was allowed among those four groups. Just look at the records as far as murder goes among those four groups."

On Louisiana Before Civil Rights

"I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I'm with the blacks, because we're white trash. We're going across the field. ... They're singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, 'I tell you what: These doggone white people' -- not a word! ... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues."

On Health Care

"Temporary is all you're going to get with any kind of health care, except the health care I'm telling you about. That's eternal health care, and it's free. ... I've opted to go with eternal health care instead of blowing money on these insurance schemes."

What are the terms of his suspension? He won't be on one or 2 episodes? Next season has already been filmed by the way. The whole thing is a publicity stunt.

If it is a publicity stunt it just went SOUTH (like all my ducks). The network went from 6 million likes down to 600k likes on facebook....from what I have read there was also a significant drop in viewers last night. They also might have lost the entire cast.....

Haha! Man you two butt buddies sure take it personal. Are you guys the fashion editors or something? Because there's no way a grown man could really care that much if someone made fun of GQ. You can keep trying insult me all you want but obviously it really got under your skin to the point you had to result to sounding like a child.

It was nothing personal man. Just making light of the situation and making fun of GQ. You can be butt hurt the world over and it doesn't hurt me in any way.

It's a darn shame that we have to agree with something or we are haters. Religion aside it just isn't natural. You won't have many ducks to shoot real quick if they all live an "alternative lifestyle". I applaud Phil for his faith and beliefs. To God be the glory.

I have never heard a bunch of cry babies whine about a more stupid topic( not the forum per say but the general population) he quoted the bible and people lose there heads. Homosexuality is a sin no matter how you look at it. What you do on your house is between you and god but it is written that two men should not lay together. How can so much publicity be brought on by a book that has been around for so long.
