Do most of you hunt out of the actual boat or just use it to get there then get out? Would like to see some pics of your boats as well.

Here's mine. Nothing fancy
I'll mostly be using it to get where I'm going then ill get out. If I hunt the colorado I'll have to hunt out of it. I still need to rig up a blind. And yes I know the sticker fell off the side. I have it inside the center console, it has no adhesive on it to stick anymore

Riverhawk B-52 Duck Boat, 15'8" x 52". Good amount
of room and extremely stable. Drafts 4-5" so I can
get in some pretty skinny water. In the pic I'm
sitting on the side and I'm 210lbs.

1756 Xpress with Avery quickset blind... I took the blind off 3 years ago. not enough water to really use it.
Also added a ProDrive 2 years ago.
I usually cover it with netting like LTMFH and stash it a couple hundred yards away.

Does covering it that far off really help? The reason I ask is because last year I'd set my bass boat 200 yards out to keep other hunters away lol. I have hunted with it as close as 75 yards and it didn't make much difference.

Mnsherick,
You spent a ton on that Hydroturf but why is it running different directions? Must be hard to wash mud out. Mine is hard enough to clean the mud out but mine is running the length of the boat on my Gator trax, just wondering.
And all of those boats are way to clean.

Here's mine. It's also for sale on TFF if you're in the market. Just click on the link. I don't have enough posts to list it on THF. Nothing personal...I've just been in more of a fishing mode since I moved here in 2009.

Nah it washes out easy, I use a huge "car wash" style brush on a long pole...besides only the front deck has it running 2 different directions. I couldn't see spending $2k to have GT put the hydroturf on when I bought it. I ended up getting it anyways and doing it myself (Saved $1100), can't live without it now.
Beave,
HOA won't let me re-paint my house the color it is now, why would they let me camo it? Maybe I'll do camo vynil on my garage doors just to spite them.

I have a belief there is no perfect boat. I do believe though, that boat you have quoted there is as close as you can get. Nice boat and I bet with that 70 hp it skips across the water. I will never own another mud motor but that boat right there is the cats arse.

That's of is pretty light. It doesn't have the square tube frame that most have. The seat in the middle and the front deck are the bracing then of course stringers on the floor. But either way it's relatively lite.

My current boat. Nothing fancy- riveted and lightweight. I just rebuilt the transom (raised it and added supports), fixed some popped rivets, and added a jack plate. I love the hull shape- it handles great, cuts through waves, and if it wasn't old and riveted I would keep it for a long time.
But because I like never ending projects I picked this up last night. I plan to clear out some of the decking and turn it into a tiller steer.
