I don't normally leave guns in my truck. Hunting related stuff is normally taken in and out.

An outdated Epi-pen, an old coffee cup that's growing something nasty, a fuel log, a 12v compressor, a fishing pole w/o a reel, a sock, three hats, a Texas map book, spurs, a handful of napkins lifted from Race Trac, a crumpled roller-dog wrapper, gmail map print-outs to places I dont recall visiting, the horse's Coggins test reports, WeatherTech's half full of dirt, sand and feathers, 8 Starburst candies that are hard as a rock, and 5 reusable Kroger Eco shopping bags.

This load-out changes occasionally depending on the mission requirements.

I tell them that someone threw them in my driveway or on the ground and I picked them up because I don't like litter and have not had a chance to throw them away yet.

The question here was what do you leave in your vehicle. For the guys that just leave guns in your vehicles at all times...man that seems like a very bad idea and very irresponsible. The only time I leave a gun in my truck is if I'm on a hunting trip and we make stops but if it's an overnight stay I'm not going to leave it in the truck. The other case is if I have my CHL carry gun and some dumb store owner has a 30-06 sign and I can't bring it in. Both situations for me would be short term situations and I would never just leave them in there overnight. Too many break ins and the people breaking in are the last people I want with guns.

I hope some just misunderstood the question. I have zero problem with you rolling with guns...I do it almost every day...I just don't like them left there. If you have a CHL...carry the dang thing....don't be lazy.

No misunderstanding...its there 24/7 my doors stay unlocked at the house and work....but locked if i go into tha big city... google maps cant even find my house so im not to worried bout it

Where do you work? If you live in BFE and no one can find your house I don't see a problem there.

I work in Navasota outside of town on the Hwy... shop is fenced all the way around and no one will be messing with my truck

I leave my 30/30 in my truck unlocked with the keys in the ignition every night. I even leave it in there if the truck goes to the shop, been doing it for almost 10 years now. Never had an issue.
