i have a small food plot that has been growing for about a month and starting to look good.

Do you add a liquid fertilizer and if so, what do you use?

I do the same, but I'm in east Texas sand.

In east texas, i use 13-13-13 granular as well. 50lbs of seed per acre, 100 lbs of fertilizer per acre.

I also use 13 13 13, 200lbs per acre. But I fertilize at the same time I plant.
Plow, put out fertilizer, level out with harrow, drill seed in.

Triple 13 here as well, in E TX sandy loam. I went with 350 lbs per acre. Half disked in right before planting, the other half was broadcasted immediately after seed was thrown. Then ran a drag over it.

I've done plots in West, East, South Texas. 13-13-13 on all of them. 150lbs per acre.
Photo is of plot in East Texas near Hughes Springs of 100lbs oats, 50lbs Austrian winter peas, 150lbs of 13-13-13. Plus a lot of rain.
