Cottonseed take-up 'tricks"? - 04/22/20 12:32 PM
Wondering if anyone had any "tricks" to get deer to take to cottonseed? I put out three feeders a month ago, and have yet to get a pic of a deer eating it. I realize in some places they love it, and others never touch it. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions that they have used to help the deer take to it?

We had similar issues at the beginning. After a couple of months, began to think we were wasting our time and $. Then, all of a sudden, we created a monster.
Just keep it out there. It holds forever. Sprinkle some corn on it. They'll get on to it.

OK thanks Hud. I put the cottonseed feeders at the edge of my corn feeder throw-zone hoping as they eat the corn, they will eventually nibble on the cotton-seed.

Our experience was that when they want it, it is time, until then it is just in the way.
