REPORT IN : Winchester Copper Impact XP on hogs - 09/17/21 08:57 PM
This Ammo is new to me, I’ve used the conventional Deer Season XP Ammo on hogs , it was violently explosive but erratic in anchoring pigs.
It wouldn’t penetrate more than 12” and body angles and bone muscle structure had a lot of effect (somewhat adverse) on terminal performance - quick kills…
So I found the all copper version last night and have a couple of boxes inbound for the 6.5 Creedmoor
LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT TIP - and - THE HOLLOW POCKET BEHIND IT
Will it be any different than any other “tipped” monolithic bullet ?
I hope so !!!
Who has used them and what are your thoughts on performance on pigs ?
Yes yes i know the box has a picture of a deer on it - I ain’t scared ….
