Killed a pretty good boar - 05/03/21 01:26 PM
Went out Saturday night. Didn't see any pigs except this one lone boar. Wheat is really tall and hard to see in. He was right in between two fields where peanuts are getting planted here in the next week or two. Put about a 300 yard stalk on him then me and my partner hammered down. Big old nasty thing. Busted cutters, hair rubbed out, scarred up. Took two shots from each gun to anchor him, then a finisher behind the ear.
He was feeding away from us and would not give a shot. Finally he turned just a bit and we did a quick count and shoot. Both bullets angled up into the vitals (85 HP and 123 SST) but he took off. Second shots were pretty much simultaneous as well and he went to the ground. Sorry for no sound in the video. Not sure when or how but I had accidentally turned it off. It was after midnight, humidity was getting high, thermal conditions deteriorating rapidly. Between that and the wheat the image isn't as good as I am used to but not too bad. There at the end my partner zipped one right over the top of his head. My third shot you can see behind the ear in the picture of him hanging up.
