Church in Prosper, TX Needs Someone To Trap Pigs - 04/29/21 09:42 PM

A church in Prosper, TX is having a problem with hogs on its property tearing up their field. They are getting closer to the kid's sports field and they need to be gone ASAP!! We can't shoot them because we are in city limits and the new police department is next door. smile Gonna have to trap and remove.

Anyone able to help the church out with this? Please contact me ASAP. 972-820-5133

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

My husband and son volunteered to remove them with their night vision equipment and cross bows (since it's near the police department) but the pigs are required to be trapped. elmer

Guns = Unlimited volunteers. Trapping = Probably be prepared to write a check, especially if they cannot be dispatched on site and are required to be loaded / transported.

Get someone in there to run them with dogs.

Do it enough times and they will not come back (the hogs).

Trapping would be best (since it removes the hogs) but you're not likely to get a 'volunteer', its a LOT of work.

Sounds like someone in the church needs to step up.

Or just sit around & wait for a miracle.

Maybe nobody from the congregation has a clue about trapping hogs?

I bet if they buy a trap, they could get a 5 min lesson on how to work it.

Or, if God wanted the hogs in a trap, he would miracle them into it.

And so ends today's lesson on Texas friendliness and asking for help from others.

I don't see an issue with 'friendliness' here really. It's just there are other considerations beyond just getting the pigs 'trapped', which in itself is a lot of work.

What are you going to do with them once you have them? They have to be transported elsewhere for one purpose or another. The males can be sold to a game ranch but the females can not 'legally' be released onto another property. So the only options left are to kill them at another location OR take them to a commercial buyer.

I'm not saying some kind soul won't step up and help....but I AM saying there is more to it than most folks know and few persons equipped to do the job.

My bad. I misunderstood the Christian sarcasm as being less than friendly.

Yes, it would involve some work. Even if they were inviting people to come and shoot them, it would involve some work.

Well clearly Maximus just made it clear it was sarcasm and he was just simply being a douche bag! Not sure the point of your posts in this thread...but completely unnecessary IN MY OPINION.

I think the point of my post is pretty clear!

scratch this tis a hunting forum..

& tis a thinken that's the biggest problem with the hogs...
Thar b big buck$ in hunting leases... Have seen a couple offers for people ta come help with hog problems...
98% of time someone (hunter) offers ta help, they get shot down...
Tis the hunter putting in thar time, (has ta b thar @ right time) effort, cost of guns, look @ ammo prices, gas. That's hunters expense...
Been on this forum, telling hunters about the advantages of public land hunting...
Tis not an execative hunt...

flintknapper post tis a friendly answer...
Thar b alot of time consuming, & responsibility on the trapper... getting rid of hogs after trapped
Lot of expenses.. He has ta b set up...

Archery, crossbow tis the answer, if can get permission...
Best wish's ta Mimi Lynn, would suggest taking up an extra offering ta help out, thar b expenses on trappers part

Just my 2cents could be someone has sent a pm ta help out...
