Head shot - 12/27/20 10:45 PM
This sow and several others came out late last night. They pushed a protein block I put out for deer over to the water trough and went to town destroying it. This made it very difficult to get a shot on them. The largest of the group finally raised her head above the trough and I was able to take the shot. I hit her between the eyes and she dropped. I uselessly don’t attempt head shots at night with my green lights. My 300 HAM’R is a very accurate rifle and the 135 FTX round is fast becoming one of my favorites.
