It just keeps on killing

Not a better gun for hunting the East Texas brush than a 30-30. It's easy to carry, cheap ammo, and very effective in closer quarters.

Yes, indeed! The old "thutty-thutty" will knock 'em down to stay! Good work!

It's hard to argue with success.
Good work.

Love shooting my Marlin 30A 30-30. It just feels right. In fact, I just ordered a new Leopold 3x9 Firedot for it to replace the Nikon Prostaff.

I agree. I started out with one as a young kid and used it for first 5 years of hunting.

If many would be honest, a 30/30 can be used for
80 maybe 90 percent of the hunting that's done in
the state.

I always argue with myself when deciding between my 30-30 and AR to go out pig hunting. Most of the time the 30-30 wins.

I have owned various 30-30's and 30-30AI rifles since I started hunting. Used the 30-30 a lot back in the 70's but hardly hunt with one anymore and I have three presently.

I have a Buckmaster 3-9x40 atop my Mossberg 30-30. Appears to not be holding zero anymore so I may look at that Leupold. I really like the Nikon BDC and Spot On app for holdovers though. Love my 30-30 lever gun. Shot my first pig las year with mine.

Especially with the LeverRevolution ammo. Makes it a good 250 and under round. I dropped one at a lasered 246 with the 160 grain LeverRevolution.
