Perfect shot placement (aka making another set of ear holes)

Perfect shot placement (aka making another set of ear holes) - 07/13/20 07:04 PM

I have shot a fair amount of hogs over the years, almost all with either a 5.56 soft point or 22-250 soft point. This hog was shot by my son and an example of perfect shot placement. These shots almost always result in a DRT type anchor. Requires a little bit of patience to get the right sight picture, but when done correctly, this shot placement is deadly. I know some on here already know this, but for those that don’t, this is where you want to make your shots if you want to recover your kill.

Love to see the dirt fly off when the bullet hits.

The ears have it! Eye sockets work well, too, but are a bit harder to hit. Good work and keep on gettin' after 'em.

That second photo is great. No doubt that pig was DRT
