Monster Down - 04/19/20 01:22 AM

I have coached this kid for three years and she is like my own daughter!! Over the last 2 years she has killed 2 hogs, an Aoudad, and a WT doe!! Got her 5th kill today, and what a trophy!! She has fired 5 shots on 5 hunts!! 2 with a
30-30 and 3 with a 270!! Nothing has ran more than 10 yards!! So stinking proud of this 14 yr old!!!

Progression and a steady hand!! This kid averages 60 mph on her fast fastball at 14U. Has junior colleges offering her today!! But, softball aside, her 1st hog was 136, 2nd hog was 192, then today!! She competes at such a high level, “Buck Fever” doesn’t get her!! She’s like me, the adrenaline rush and shaking comes after the shot!! Prepares her self for a successful shot and executes!! That’s the story! She has never missed on 5 hunts!! I know hogs are a huge nuisance, but I never falter from my teaching, a shot is a kill!! My lil Choctaw Indian from OK did it again!! Just so proud!!

Atta Girl!

And good job Coach.

And I'd like for folks to take note of what a REAL 300 lb. pig looks like. They are big animals.

aim

That pig would have paid a lot of money in the Wise Co Hog Contest back in Feb. Would have been 2nd place, 1st paid $32,250. 2nd If I remember was maybe $12,000 or so.

Good job and congrates to the young lady. It is great to see more people helping get the youngsters involved. I work on my 5 grand babies all the time. The two oldest have already been taking deer and hogs for a couple of years now.

Was this shot in the wild, or off of a private hunting preserve? I have to sorta doubt a wild hog living off of what they can root up will grow to that size. Very impressive hog !

We have had numerous hogs taken in the 225 range, with the biggest being 278. Low fence ranch in Stephens County. Typical mature boar is around 180 however on our place.
