They Keep Coming Back For More

Stumbled upon a group of hogs and they really didn't want to leave! Check it out.

Good shooting! That was pretty funny seeing them wander back. I've let a single round go with no one moving, but nothing like that.

I wish the hogs on my place were that curious. Usually 1 shot & they are gone, every once in a while I can get 2. Great!

Are your hogs Deaf? The one's I hunt are gone after the first shot. They run about 113 miles before stopping and never come back. That is wild, never seen anything like that.

Jeeze !...I don't even bother to fill up the mag in my AR when I go out at night. Generally one shot and they all scatter. You must live a blessed life !

That’s crazy....I’ve been goose hunting when they really, really wanted to be in our field and just kept circling back in but never heard of pigs doing that....

As others have said , never have hogs done that for me .

That was pretty amazing. The closest I've come to anything like that was one time when I missed a shot and the hog came back.

I think I ran into this group a few weeks ago and took out 3 before they made it to the treeline and didn't come back out. Guess they didn't learn then. I don't feed or bait them at all.

Always enjoyed me night hunts, could ease up ta pistal range...
At OSBWMA had a hog hunt, was back in over a mile with me .270 right at dark 30ty.
Came across several hogs at an old stand sight from whin it twas a lease.
Dropped a big-en all scatered. Went ta try move it, Too big, so layed riffle down started gutting.
Easier ta move. Heard sound of another hog, like it twas hit in lungs, they ran 5-10yrds inta thick stuff.
Went ta see if could find it. notta... So went back ta one down. Then rest of hogs came back inta clearing.
So grabbed .270 put another one down.
Rest just stood thar. Put rifle down & had ta chase rest off.
ya some will say why not eradicate them...
Never had problem with hogs, twas a Blessing whin the WMA opened up down the road...
Hog hunts twas for pudding on D & in freezer.
Creek South of house, had set up for deer hunts at first. Twas buck only back then. No does, twas told not enough deer.
So switched me set up for hog hunts... Cams ta monitor movement...
WMA opened up, seen the going on with deer leases, going ta Big Buck$ So did me archery deer/hogs at WMA few rifle hunts on old unit #120.
Some one told me bout this forum, reason got on it ta see if any one wanted ta do hog hunts on WMA's...
made numeral uno on D ignorance list...
Got some haters down in D cause i use Freedom of Speach...

Lots of improvements since the days of me caveman hunts...
Had .223 AR mil-dot scope over/green lazer under... At creek, food plot with crn feeder, with cellular lights, twas dark area & feeder, smaller food plot by oak tree in open, could see threw scope with moonlight. With home made lean stand on tree in middle. Set up zeroed for short range, & me hunts at WMA were close range shooting, walking up hogs.

#1 problem with hogs tis, getting permission ta help with problem.
Land owners seen the can make big buck$ just like with deer lease...
Just like HF threads, blaming it on other hunters...
