It's getting good

Made this observation a couple of weeks ago: Acorns drying up, hogs are out earlier and hitting feeders and grazing pastures. I'm having a blast breaking in this new rifle. I switched ammo, from 143 gr ELDX to 129 gr. SST. The 143 were long, to the point that I had to take care to not deform the tip going into the mag, so went to the SST round. I can't tell a difference, both these were dead on their feet. [Linked Image]

You hit them both right where I like to put the bullet, any where from the middle of the shoulder forward. I have had very good luck with those SST bullets and I use the 123 grain in both my Grendel and Creedmore.

I have used my .308, 165 gr. SST for years with great results. Killed more than a few at 300 + yards, and that bullet hits hard and puts them on the ground. I wanted an AR platform and decided on the 6.5 Creedmoor after seeing how my bolt gun in that caliber performed. This 129 gr. SST is moving 2950 at the muzzle.
