Zombie Boar - 04/06/18 09:36 PM
This big boar absorbed 5 300 grain hornady SSTs before finally going to hog hell.
I first spotted him after getting out of my truck on the edge of a large field. Rushed and loaded the gun and grabbed shooting sticks as it looked like he was gonna bolt. Started my stalk and spooked some deer who blew at me and alerted the hog. I know he couldn't smell or see me but he knew something wasn't right. I threw the sticks down and found him in my thermal right as he was trotting away. First shot hit him good with loud thump. I watched him run about 150-200 yards and then looked like he went down. I made my way over to where he was and watched him at about 50 yards for a few minutes. He never moved so I began my approach. About 30 yards away I see his ear twitch and I readied the shotgun. He jumped up and I shot him 3 more times before he went down and then finished him with a 5th and final shot. It sure is fun working that 40 yr old pump shotgun.
