Sat night hog

Well, nothing special... I incremented the 2018 count by one calico boar. Little low on the head shot, but effective nonetheless. Saw several, but with the moon/no clouds, about 250yds is about all we could seem to close to.




I had a nightmare flashback when I shot this guy and my scope died, bringing back fond memories of my X-Sight I. I had just changed the batteries and when I shot, the battery cap popped off, lesson learned. Stuck a regular camera in my hunting pack also, takes much better night pictures than the iPhone does.

The only thing I really never liked about the Apex was that you could get the cap on and the scope operate, but the cap really wasn't fully one and it would pop off during recoil. Errrr!

The only times I had it happen was when I did a battery change in the dark.

No such thing as a bad head shot. Agree about the iPhone pictures, mine always seem terrible
