used the .223 AR-15 using cheap 55gr fmj & hps for my hog hunts down at WMA. Did lots of walking so lighter was better & my shots were close range. .223 is cheaper shooting, if ya on a budget & had great success. Don't expect good blood trails, my shots were heart lung, mostly, in thick areas, it happens fast. Only one, was not recovered. Most of blood stays in body cavity.
