Make em squeal - 01/04/18 12:26 AM
Hog I shot this morning. He actually got up and ran after a few seconds and I trailed good blood for about 100 yards and said screw it. I wasn’t gonna drag him through the woods anyways once I found him. Pretty sure he didn’t survive that 300 grain bullet to the shoulder plus I found lots of blood. Closest thing I’ve seen to true knockdown power lol. Turn it up loud and hear him squeal.

If they're squealing on the ground, I'm shooting again.

I usually do too but I was too focused on getting video of it and it surprised the heck out of me when he got up. They have only gotten up 2 times after dropping like that with the slugs.

Was that 12 slug? Look like hit with a bus..... on a side note, drove through ft good are today . You have any idea of hog numbers there vs e tx? Just curious. Went to a buddies to shoot deer in San Saba, and saw zero pigs on his place, and driving to/from. Didn’t notice anything that looked really tore up . I can’t drive 10 min around here without seeing pasture destroyed.

Yes 12 gauge 300 grain slug. I killed 50 hogs on Ft Hood last yr and went months without being able to hunt it. There are lots of hogs all over Ft Hood.

Smack down
got to lov a 12 bore Taking down a boar
Yeah, the way the hind end dropped first and then he belly flopped before rolling over, I would have thought he was done as well. I have see the same thing several times but they don't get up, LOL.

Yep, I'd say it's very unlikely he survived.
Food for the buzzards and coyotes. Everything in the woods gotta eat.

Buddy was out there today and said there were a lot of buzzards circling back behind my feeder. I’m gonna take that as he is dead.
