6 Hogs Down, Hunt With An Old Friend

I hunted last night with the first guy to take me hog hunting, the Hessian. We don't get to hunt together very often now, but we usually have a pretty good time when we do. Last night turned out particularly well on the 2nd property we visited.

Man you sure need some rain. The one that turned back from left to right was kicking up big rooster tails.

Is there another reticle selection that shows on the recording?

We do need rain. A big front came through last night (no luck for me hunting) and the rain missed us. Errrr!

The reticle issue is electronic with the recorder. There are 5 reticles in the IR Hunter MKIII and I believe all will be impacted. There are only two that I like as I feel the other three cover too much of the image. The reticle I use is the default. There is one other small reticle I will try using in the future and see if it is affected.

Sometimes there's no luck hunting, but often it's nice to just get out …
I managed a trip last weekend to sight in my new thermal sight, and sat out for a while with the landowner and his wife just watching the sun set. It was well worth the trip!




A skunk who obviously thought things had become way too squirrelly.
