Could have, should have. What would you have done?

At my stand this morning for deer season opening, 10 min after legal hunting a 100lb boar comes within 10yds of my stand. I debated whether to shoot him or not w/my 41 mag pistol and decided not to, cause I didn't want to spook any deer in the area. Well I didn't see any deer and now think I should have shot him. By the way, on my way to the stand at 6:00 am I saw a 12 point buck run right in front of me on my atv. Darn....

I've shot pigs and within minutes, the deer are back looking around.

I always shot anybpig I see. The deer on our leas won't come to the feeders if hogs are present. Double lung them and let them run away, or shot them in the face and drag them off. I've killed hogs, drug them off and had deer show up within 15 minutes.

Isn't that why you pack the 41?

On a couple of places where I help out the landowner, he requires deer hunters to shoot hogs on sight.

I would have shot him. As long as the hog was going to be there, there would be little or no deer hunting.

Shoot the pig leave him lay until your finished with your morning hunt.

I've had the opposite situation happen ... I shot a deer and as I'm filling out the tag a hog walks up to the feeder as if nothing is going on.

Looks unanimous, kill every pig you see.
