Blood Pressure Med

Blood Pressure Med - 02/23/22 01:35 AM

many years ago, I started taking Benicar HCT 40/25, switched to Olmesartan 40/25. My doctor called in to my Medicare CVS Caremark to refill my 90 day supply. $300.

Anyone else run into this? Recommend any cheaper med that works? I have had good luck with the Olmesartan but $100 a month is bs

Asking pharmacy advice on the hunting forum confused2
What is the matter with you?
Go down to your pharmacy and ask the pharmacist, not here.

What Angus said,
but I've been good with Losartan HCT (also a 'Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker' ) and since it's generic, only $12 for a 90-day supply.

Just for the heck of it, check out Good RX. I was put on a medication that was really high at CVS and Kroger had it for WAY cheaper using Good RX.
Hope you find out why they changed the price and get what you need.

What's causing your hypertension? That's going to determine what med(s) you need.

Just started taking hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. Generic - 0 dollars. Have a appointment with cardiologist today for blood work. Only been on it 2 weeks and have seen slight improvement. Will see what the Dr. has to say.

$15.16 per 30 day using goodrx.
https://www.goodrx.com/olmesartan-hctz

We use any of goodrx, insurance, cash, or a drug company discount card on our meds depending on what is the best deal. My bystolic up through last year I used a bystolic discount card from the drug company saving me hundreds. My insurance as of this year covers a generic version and is cheaper without using the discount program. Most of my wife's meds are bought using goodrx.

I'm about to have to start using Good RX. ALSO, check out Scripto.com They have a yearly membership fee. but you can save that with your first order.

Like others have said, check out Good RX. I had a prescription recently that was over $300. With the free Good RX code I got it for $24. And Walmart keeps the code in the system for you so you dont have to find the code each time you refill.

In the past I have also had a prescription that was more expensive through my insurance than it was to just pay cash for it.

If Good RX can't do it, check Blink Health
I used Good RX for a long time, and for whatever reason the pharmacy I was using
said they would no longer accept it. My doctor found me a different pharmacy
and got the Blink Health discount program started for me.
No problems so far

Good Luck
