Blood Pressure - 12/10/20 12:50 PM
I've been on medication for my BP for 6 or 7 years due to high BP and have had an intermittent problems with elevated BP since I was a teenager. The BP med my doc prescribed is Losartan and for the past 6 months or so my BP has been low (+/- 90/60) so I stopped taking it and have been off of it for about 4 months now but my BP has remained low even without the meds. I have a good BP cuff and check it throughout the day and my BP has consistently stayed low enough to no longer need medication.
One of the docs I see said that my low BP is the result of a combination of things; taking 4-6 grams of Omega-3 (fish oil) daily, weight loss, keto diet, intermittent fasting and daily walks.
