Cross Draw Sheath

Cross Draw Sheath - 04/15/21 01:19 PM

I'm going to concentrate on EDC's this time of year. Skinners are slowing down and I'm selling a lot of knives to Cowboys who like to carry knives either on the hip or their back. Pancake sheaths are going to be a staple for my new model EDC's I have coming out. This one is made to carry on the left hip.

Looks great. Those cowboys refuse to wear a vertical sheath.

Nice work Bob! I have a pattern for a pocketknife one, just haven't gotten around to doing one yet! I like the dual color!

Thanks Ben, I don't always do a dual color but I think on a cross draw it makes it pop. I rarely use a dauber to dye leather, I've been using a air brush for years.

I did bro, I'll get on it first part of this week, I'm wrapping up my custom 8 Damascus knives order today. You are next on my list.

Thanks all for the nice words.

Yes, those airbrushes make it nice! If i did more leatherwork, i'd definitely be looking for one!

If you get one bro never used water based dye. It will sure mess it up.

Looks good Bob. That's a lot of hand stitching there. I'd have to seriously consider a machine.

Yes sir, I've been shopping for one, I've been getting a lot of request for them. This is the style I'm going to now.

Hey Bob, what would one of those crossdraw sheaths cost on a "custom" knife?

Typically I don't just make sheaths for sale since I fit the knife to the sheath. On a custom knife I'll add $30.00 for the extra work involved in leather cost and time stitching.

Do you put a welt in those sheaths?
