Melvin Cormier Knives

Anybody familiar with this knifemaker? Can't find much about him online other than he was a knifemaker from Louisiana.

You probably know as much as I do that he was from Jennings La. and died Jan. 29, 2020, at the age of 91.

We used to visit Mr. Melvin in Jennings and purchase knives. He used bar stock stainless and had his own forge to heat treat the knives. All of his holsters were handmade by him. My son broke a cheap sword and Mr. Melvin replaced the blade with one made from an old saw mill blade. He wouldn't even charge us. He was a great knife maker and an even better person.
