Looking for a Christmas Present

For ME of course

I like the Benchmade Bug out or mini bug out.

What are the knives who's blades are "automatic" open? I want it to carry everyday. Probably be an expensive box opener which is VERY hard on about any steel. I'm using an old Havalon disposable scalpel blade knife now, it works great.

want something kinda fancy

Looked at a couple Jerry Moen folders but want to stay around $100

They are great. I got the Barracuda free when I bought a Bushnell Forge scope.

If you want a out the side automatic for $100 then Kershaw is probably going to be the ticket

I've heard nothing but good about the launch 11

If you want something nicer then Protech would be the brand to look at but you are going to be closer to the $200 Mark for one. Check out the Protech Newport.

https://www.gpknives.com/brands/protech-knives/protech-newport.html

As you can see they make a lot of variations of a model with colors and such.

They are also known for making extremely fancy versions of their knives. Such as taking a $200 knife and making a $8000 model with gold, pearl, etc..

Pro-tech is probably the number 1 brand for out the side automatic knife and USA made. Microtech is another one that makes good out the side autos and made in USA. Most Kershaws are USA made too. Hogue (same as the pistol grip maker) makes great knives and autos as well and in the USA.
