Babbitt Skinner

Babbitt Skinner - 03/30/20 05:36 PM

I don't come across a Babbitt rasp very often but when I do I always snatch it up. This one made a pretty nice skinner that's 8 5/8" overall with a blade length of 4 1/8". Heat treated and tempered to HRC 60. Scales are Madrone burl with stainless pins and lanyard tube. I still need to put the final edge on it, mark it and make a sheath but it's getting close.

That's a beauty! Really like the simple, straight-forward lines!
