Sharpener identity help - 07/15/19 03:30 PM

I've had this sharpening rod so long that I cannot recall when it came into my possession, or even how...at least 25 years, maybe 30. It's been my very favorite knife sharpening tool for as far back as my memory goes. I've tried a dozen others, and none have worked for me quite like this one has. It's like an old, felt hat - it just feels right.

Over the years, it's been in & out of trucks & hunting camps, dropped due to bloody hands, used by friends who hacked at it improperly, and picked up more & more nicks as the years went by...nicks that are now bad enough that they snag my knives when I try to sharpen them. I sure would like to replace this, but there are no identifying marks on the rod, handle, or sheath.

Any chance that one of you knife experts recognizes this thing & can put me on the right track? Thanks for any help!
