Love This Tiger Stripe Maple

Worked out a deal for this maple last week, this is the first one and my experimenting with various ways of dying it and finishing it.

That is absolutely beautiful!

I recently got a couple of matches sets of walnut burl that have a great look to them. Saving them for when I think I can make the steel look as good as the wood handles scales and be worthy of them.

Mr Jank I believe you have a winner of a design. Received it today and was really impressed with the whole package. Wood is beautiful / handle actually fits my hand( Large hands ) blade design and angle fit well also. Sheath work is exceptional ( not sure all the details can be seen in the pics above)

I have several of your knives & overall the fit and style of this knife moves it up to #1 ( I need a pig to try it out on)

Only thing better if you could make me one in stainless Damascus ( that would be sweet)

Is that an Oil finish on the scales? It sure looks good! I have quite a bit of tiger stripe maple in the shop but haven't used any for a while. You've got me wondering why I haven't.

Mike I got through several process with various dyes and then finish with Danish Oil let dry buff and several coats of Tru Oil and buff. The pictures don't capture the gold highlights; outside in person it's awesome.
