New Knife - 11/15/15 04:37 PM

My wife surprised me with a birthday present, of a new knife from THAYN'S Custom knives, out of Rangely Co. I have another from him that I bought about 15 yrs ago. Great knives.

Is it etched into the blade? Never seen that before. Very nice.

They look like good ones. And I guess that's a fire starter on the first one? It's got a nice sheath too. Congrats and happy birthday.

I guessed it was a sharpener. Small steel maybe.

Like the look of the knife and sheath, but I wonder how easy it will be keep clean with that etching.

It is actually not etching. He cuts his blanks out of old round rusted sawmill blades. It is rust pockets, and he leaves it, as it cleans up.
