Case is a good knife

I've lost several of them over the years.

My soon to be in-laws bought me the stainless trapper in Amber bone 3 years ago as a Christmas gift. I love it. Always have it on me. Holds a decent edge and gets beyond razor sharp. Go with stainless though, the chrome vanadium blades require a lot more attention.. You have to keep them oiled to prevent corrosion.

Very good value. I carried an older one like Duckcoaches for years. Holds its edge well. Does not have a locking blade which for some things I used it for would of saved me some skin. I replaced it last year but have it in my back pack. I have skinned a lot of deer with it.

They are as good as any mass produced knife... Well, not as good as Benchmade!

These are my EDC's. I can't walk right without them in my right jeans pocket.

The Griptillian is very sharp. The Case xx is scalpel sharp.

I have a case sod buster on me at all times along with one of my custom fixed blades. Occasionally I swap out the sod buster for a case 3 blade stockman.

My go-to traditional EDC is a Case Trapper w/ red bone handles and CV blades. It takes a good edge and stays pretty sharp. The CV blades do take a little more care than SS, but that's not too big of a downside.

I have started carrying a GEC Bull Buster (same size as a sod buster)some and really like it as well. It's another option for those who like Case knives and traditional folders in general.

I listened to all you guys yapping about how great Benchmade knives were, so in a moment of weakness I bought a Griptilian. Ok...great knife. Holds an edge extremely well, and much longer than my Gerber did. Ya'll were right.

I like the older Case, not so much on the new ones

Older Case Carbon Steel pocket knives have a collector following. I have a few and they hold an edge well and are well made. Carry one everyday.

I have several Boker and Case knives. I'll take a Boker any day.

Case sod buster will do all a pocket knife should be asked to do. I carry that more then all the others.
