I had 7 loyalty points and still didn't get picked for the javelina hunt at JD.
This hunt must be getting popular, I've never needed this many points in the past 20 years. Anyone picked for this hunt had more points than that?

The draw is a random drawing with you getting more entries the more points you have. The number of points you have does not guarantee a draw.

Only 12 permits for almost 600 entries. That's not a great chance of winning. There are people with 30 points not getting drawn for the big hunts now days.

I got drawn last year with 4 points. Didn't get to go because of trying to recover after a long hospital visit because of covid.

I knew this was not a true preference point system, but was surprised I didn't get picked. I went back and check the stats and # of applications has doubled since 2015!
Even these 'smaller' hunts are getting popular.
