I’ve hunted there twice, one a youth hunt with my son in 2015 and myself in 2018, awesome park, very thick in most places but there are lots of small open areas throughout. When we hunted, we were divided into groups and a staff member would drive us around the compartment, then leave it to is to decide which area each one wanted to hunt on. My son hunted the compartment which is on the way from the gate/restrooms to Gorman falls, and I hunted the one around the primitive camping area. You can setup a tent or drive a small/medium sized camper, but there are no electric hookups or water at the sites, only composting toilets and a few water faucets in common areas. There are plenty of aoudads but we didn’t see any, they seem to hang around the cliffs. There are plenty of deer and respond well to corn.
One of my favorite places to camp and hunt for sure.
