Weekend after Thanksgiving

Generally speaking, have y'all experienced this weekend to be a busy one on the public lands (compared to other weekends)? I try to avoid hunting public on the weekends as much as possible, but this is the only time a good buddy of mine has available to chase some deer.

If you have a daredevil spirit you could hunt LBJ Grasslands during the 4 "doe days" at Thanksgiving. No centerfire rifles though,shotguns and muzzleloaders only. Weeee Dogies,so much orange it looks like a giant punkin' patch!
