LAS PALOMAS WMA-ARROYO COLORADO TIPS - 09/17/20 02:00 AM

Just got drawn for this WMA hunt for GDE in January with my dad. Very excited to bring him to see and hunt that part of Texas!
I know its not a big property, less than 800 acres broken into compartments.
Anyone hunt this WMA before? I'll reach out to the Unit Mgr as well. Any advice or tips would be much appreciated!

See my post in the other thread. It was a loooong way to go for crappy hunting but got to see a new part of the state so it was a cool road trip.

My boy was drawn for Las Palomas a few years ago. Long drive, minimal activity, lots of small flies which made sitting in the blind almost unbearable. It was nice seeing and hunting in a new locale, but once was definitely enough.

I’ve put in for that hunt for years and have never been picked! If you need a close place to stay I have a small fishing shack in Arroyo City. PM me for details if your interested. Good luck and let us know how the hunt goes.
